Linxboss is a private linkbuilding network of blogs and sites with pagerank. Unlike other networks such as BuildMyRank or Linkvana, it is fully automated and you don’t need to provide any content. You don’t have to write articles, to rewrite them, and to upload them. This is provided by Linxboss and we’ll see below how it works.
How Does Linxboss Work?
The Linxboss membership allows you to promote 5 domains, and you receive 200 links per month per website. So, you get 1,000 links per month across 5 domains, and you cannot get more than 200 links per domain. You can also upgrade and promoter more than 5 domains if you need to. However, if you only need to promote a couple of sites, Linxboss is not for you, there are other far more cost-effective solutions if you only need to send links to 1 domain.
Once you sign up, you need to set up your domains, URLs and keywords. This is pretty straightforward, the interface is simple and user-friendly. The set up is very quick, but don’t skip the Training and set-up videos that are provided, as this will help you understand how Linxboss works.
You will have to choose one primary keyword, and at least 2 secondary keywords for each URL. The primary keyword will receive 100 links, and the other 100 links will be divided between the other secondary keywords you define. So, if you have 2 secondary keywords, each will receive 50 links, and if you have 4 secondary keywords, each will receive 25 links. You’ll want to have secondary keywords that include your primary keyword for best results.
Once you have set up URLs and keywords, you’re good to go. However, an optional step is to configure Linxboss Links4Links (L4L) system. These links are pointing to your external links. What this means is Linxboss will go out and scrape your backlinks (you can also upload the pages that link back to your site yourself if you don’t want them to randomly scrape backlinks), and then build links to them. The philosophy behind the L4L system is that it boosts the value of your existing backlinks. However, they do not say how they boost those links, so I’m not sure about that. This is not a very valuable feature, because you can do it yourself with software or with a service such as Backlink Booster.
Linxboss also includes a rank tracking system, so you’ll be able to monitor the progress for your keywords without having to use another tool.
What I Don’t Like About Linxboss
What I like about Linxboss is that it is fully automated. Now, there are quite a few things I do not like about Linxboss and these are following:
- Few contextual links: Most of the time the article is totally irrelevant to your topic and the link is just posted below the article, which looks 100% spammy. This is still the case now but it has been changed a bit, as some links are now on-topic and contextual, within the body of the article. However, there are still a lot of links that appear after the article, kind of hanging around.
- Crappy content: this is a biggie with Linxboss. I don’t know which software they use to spin their content but it’s horrendous. Here is an example:

And here is another example:

How does that read guys?
I’m sure Matt Cutts would love this type of content
…
- Duplicate content: the same articles or snippets of content get spun over and over and submitted to their network. Here is an example of a Copyscape duplicate content check:

Now, when you take a close look at it, most articles are still about 75% unique, which means they can still get indexed. However, the reason why I don’t like it is that it leaves a BIG footprint, and it’s rather easy to find the sites of the network; actually I see a big risk of the whole network getting de-indexed one day.
- Posting rate: the number of posts per site per day is very high; I have checked some manually and they receive dozens of posts per day, which is not a good network quality sign.
- Link count: you definitely don’t always receive 200 links per site. As you don’t get pingbacks or alerts for each links, it’s difficult to check if you actually get the promised 200 links, that’s for sure. But I had put in the system a site that was receiving only Linxboss links, and it was a site that was very sensitive to links (which means, not competitive, so if it received a link from a few domains with PR1-2-3, it would move up in the rankings for the targeted keywords). From the results I got I obviously did not receive 200 links, but way less than that (think, maybe 10% of this).
Now, is link count important? Yes it is. Some people will say that link count doesn’t matter, and that can make sense in some cases, but I don’t agree as far as Linxboss is concerned, because what happens here is that you pay for a number of links, precisely. If you are still getting results with only 100 links, good for you. But if you are not getting results BECAUSE you got only 50 links, you have an issue. And why would you want to invest your money if you don’t get what you pay for in the first place (without even talking about results)?
Can You Get Results With Linxboss?
Answering this question is tough in my experience. I would say that Linxboss is really a “Hit or Miss” kind of link building solution, and here is what I mean by that.
Personally, and generally speaking, I have not seen good results with Linxboss, but more importantly I have not seen a good ROI at all. I have had results on a few keywords but many times I have not had results at all. So, it makes it expensive to pay $147 a month to get higher rankings for only a few keywords.
Yes, Linxboss can work for you (and it can even work very well) on some keywords in some niches, because they have sites with pagerank (I have seen mainly PR1 and PR2, and some PR3) and anchor text links. It does actually work for many people because many people are not consistent in their link building efforts, and for someone who would not do link building consistently, such an automated solution can definitely give results, because you still get links vs no links if you don’t do any link building at all.
I have seen many people comment on blogs and forums that they have had great results with Linxboss, but they also commented that they were using Linxboss ONLY, which means that they had results obviously because getting low quality links from sites with PR is better than getting no links at all. However, using a single tool for link building is really a bad idea anyway, as you should more than ever be mixing up your link sources.
I have also seen people say that they have good results on competitive keywords with Linxboss, and that it really depends from the niche (from my tests I really see differences in success across niches) and from how long they put Linxboss on their site (usually, many months).
So, can you get results with Linxboss? Yes you CAN. Will you get results with Linxboss? Maybe you will, maybe you won’t. And it seems that’s just the way it is with Linxboss.
BUT as far as I am concerned, I’d say that the network is really low quality, with all the issues mentioned above about content, links and link counts, and quite frankly, I really don’t want to have these crappy links from crappy content pointing to my sites. I prefer to invest my money in a more robust service like UniqueArticleWizard or SubmitYourArticle (for non-automated tools).
Linxboss does not have my recommendation; however, as said previously, you CAN get results with it, so you may give it a try if you want to see things for yourself.

Thank you. Very informative post. I was trying to read into LinxBoss in an attempt to try it out since Build My Rank has went down the tubes! I am a member of LinkVana, however, I am waiting for the axe to drop any day. When you pointed out that they had spun content, that was the kicker for me. I want to use sites that use WhiteHat procedures. I have +1′ed your post, and I thank you!
Hi Wade, thanks!
I have just sent an email to my list recommending to stop using all blog networks.
You can still use UAW and SubmitYourArticle, they are submission services that post content to third-party sites and not a network; they are white hat because they have a quality control, which is what Google wants. But, of course, make sure to post high quality content otherwise you won’t get many articles published (quality control).
