What Is Backlink Booster And Why Do You Need Such a Tool?
Backlink Booster is not a basic indexing tool and this is actually what sets it apart from other link indexers. It is, well, a tool that boosts your backlinks, and that not only indexes them. It will take the URLs of your article submissions, your profile links, your posts on blog networks, and run them through a system that will get search engines to index those URLs and KEEP them indexed. You then get more links to your website, because these links stay in the index. This way, all your efforts to build these links back to your website are not in vain.
Here is basically how the process looks like:

This is why you need such a tool: to get your links indexed, to keep them indexed. More links = higher rankings = more traffic. You should know that when you spend money on content and on submission services like UAW, ArticleRanks or MAN (or any other link building tool), only 20% of your links will get indexed naturally; which means that Google will probably crawl all those pages with your links on them, but will only index about 20%. Investing in a booster like Backlink Booster will enable you to get close to 80% of your links indexed.
How Does Backlink Booster Work?
The first thing to note is that BacklinkBooster.com is really easy to set-up and use. The interface is very user-friendly and very simple to use, and you can use it right away after sign-up.
The first step is to set up the website you want to promote; this is the website that is being linked to from your content. What you do is enter some basic info about your site (URL, title, description, keywords and category), as shown on this screenshot:

Then you define what is called the linkflow for your website, which is the amount of ULRs that will be boosted every day for a site. If your plan is the Standard Edition, you can boost up to 20 links per day, and if your plan is the Pro Edition, you can boost up to 3,600 links per day. With both plans you can boost links for an unlimited amount of websites (although this is not very useful for the Standard plan, as 20 links per day will only enable you to promote one or a few sites).
Then you have an optional step which is to set up additional boosting power: configuring additional RSS aggregators (those which require you to register accounts), and configuring additional Web 2.0 sites and Ping.fm. This is really an optional step, and you don’t need it. You also have the option to outsource this step to Backlink Booster for a very small fee. I have conducted my tests without this option and I already got very good results in terms of indexing.
Now that you have set up Backlink Booster, how does it actually boost your links?
There are 3 boosting levels (system, account, site) and here is what Backlink Booster does:
It pings the major search engines and ping sites. Then, it places your URL on their network of content sites in the same category as you defined for your site. It then posts your URL on more than 30 social networking sites, and ultimately it published your URL on more than 100 RSS aggregators. This is the system level boosting.
Then, if you have set up the RSS and Web 2.0 accounts (the optional step described above), Backlink Booster will post your URL on these additional social networking sites and to these additional RSS sites.
Once you have boosted your links, there is an AutoReboost function, which is very useful to boost your non-yet-indexed links. This is only available to Pro Edition members.
What I Think Could Be Improved With Backlink Booster
A great additional feature would be to show the percentage of links that are indexed. This is not done by many indexing services, though. You’ll need to export the links you’ve boosted (very easy to do) and put them in Scrapebox to check if they have been indexed. The good news is that the team at Backlink Booster is currently (January 2012) working on this improvement.
What Kind Of Results Do You Get With Backlink Booster?
I have tested several indexing tools and services over the past year and most of them have given about 50% of links indexed (this stat is for blog networks and UAW links, NOT profile links) over time. Many times, the % is about 50% at the beginning and then it lowers down a little after a few weeks.
I have seen the contrary happen with Backlink Booster and I think this is because it is a booster and not only an indexer. I have typically had for the same type of links (again, not profile links) about 50% indexed at the beginning (after one week), and more over time (68% after 2 weeks, and then up to 80%).
So, why is this tool important in your link building arsenal?
Let’s take an example with figures. If you are building 500 links to your site (blog network and article directory type of links), you should know that only about 100 of them will get indexed naturally. Which means that for example, if building these links costs you $97 for the content and $67 for UAW (and I’m not counting the time or the outsourcing cost here), one indexed link will have cost you $1.64. If you invest in the Backlink Booster Standard Edition (which can boost up to 600 links a month), you’ll have spend $97+$67+$19 but you’ll have close to 400 links (80%) indexed, which means one indexed link will have cost you $0.46, which is FAR less than $1.64. This is an example which sole purpose is to show that boosting your links is crucial if you want to get a good ROI on your link building process.
Backlink Booster Subscription Options
There are currently 3 options:
- the Lite Edition: 15-day trial and then $9 per month. This option allows you to boost only 5 links per day, so I would stay it’s not worth considering.
- the Standard Edition: $19 per month. This option allows you to boost up to 20 links per day, and this is enough if you need to promote just one website and/or you can’t build more than 600 links per month.
- the Pro Edition: $39 per month. This option allows you to boost up to 3600 links per day, which means this is the right option for people who need to promote a big site or several sites.
