When it comes to submitting your articles to article directories, your best bet is to use article submission software. It will save you a huge amount of time and you’ll be able to focus on article writing and other content creation.
In this part of the tutorial we’ll see why you should use a software, some do’s and don’ts when submitting articles with an article submitter, and some tips on how to choose a good article submitter software for your articles distribution.
What is article submission software and what are the main benefits?
It is a program designed to automatically or semi-automatically submit articles to a list of article directories. The main purpose of using such programs is to save time, as submitting manually to dozens of directories would take a whole day for each article published.
Article submission software usually works in the background and you can do something else while the program is posting your articles. Good programs such as Article Marketing Robot offer the options to schedule the article submissions over a few hours or days, without you having to monitor submissions.
Some do’s and don’ts of article submission using software
The most important point to understand is that the right way to use an article submitter is to make it seem like the submissions were not done with software, which means, make it NATURAL.
Do not :
- submit 10 articles per day per website;
- submit more than one variation of an article to each directory;
- submit the same articles with the same resource box to hundreds of website.
All this is because first, article directories and web 2.0 properties hate spammers, which is normal, but they also hate anyone who looks like a spammer, and if they suspect you are using software, or if they see you are submitting 10 articles per day with the same links in the resource box, they will not hesitate to delete your articles and terminate your account.
And second, search engines like Google will reward quality and variety before quantity, and they are able to detect any suspect behavior in link building to a website (and when you are publishing articles you are building links to your site’s pages). So if you publish 50 articles to GoArticles only and have no links from other sites, or the same 50 articles to the same 10 article directories, but again no links from other sites, this will raise a red flag.
Do :
- submit a reasonable amount of articles per week per website; I would say 2 is good, and the maximum is 5, if you have a big website for example;
- schedule your submissions over time, don’t submit the same article to 100 sites the same day;
- if you are not rewriting your articles, make sure you spin (write different versions of) your resource box so that it will point to different pages of your site for each article you submit;
- rewrite your articles to a very high uniqueness if you want to publish them to many directories.
If you do it the right way, this is where article submission software will really help you, and this is why you’ll be happy you have one, because doing all this manually would be a grueling task. You can also use a good article submission service, as this will save you time, too. We’ll discuss this in part 11 of this tutorial.
How to choose the best article submission software
There are MANY article submission software programs on the market, some of them being really great and some of them being really bad, and this independently from their price.
Free automatic article submission software is sometimes offered as a bonus when you purchase another product such as an article marketing course, or you’ll be able to find a free download if you just do a search in Google. Most of the time they will not have interesting features, they will not create accounts for you at article directories, they will only be able to post articles to about 20 sites, and they will not always fill in the fields properly, so you still need to do a ton of work manually, which is not the purpose of using software. A paid article submitter is definitely a must if you are serious about what you are doing.
The best article submitter software will have the following abilities:
- create accounts at article directories for you automatically;
- confirm those accounts automatically;
- offer the possibility to add an unlimited number of pen names;
- rewrite and spin all fields of the article in plain text and html (title, summary, body, resource box);
- read or understand intermediate and advanced spinning syntax;
- have a large database of article directories (hundreds of them);
- quick and easy choice of article directories where you want to publish each article;
- choice of the proper categories at each article directory;
- schedule submissions over time.
In this case you’ll see that articles submission is a breeze.
For more details on which software I recommend, read this Article Marketing Robot Review. This program has a free trial so you can really get a good feel on how it works.
And if you want to submit your articles not only to directories (software are usually limited to directories and your own WordPress blogs), consider using an article submission service (more details in part 11 of the tutorial).
